International Practice
1. Cornell University Study Tour Program:
The Cornell University Study Tour Program, jointly organized by Dean’s Office, the International Office of our university and Cornell University in the US, is a short-term exchange program for undergraduates. This program, delivered in English, with multi-modes of small class teaching, special lecture and group project research, etc., invites teachers from Cornell University for courses including Sustainable Development, Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship and English writing. BesideS classroom learning, students are arranged to visit the Fortune 500 Companies Corning, distinctive Eco-village in Ithaca, Niagara Falls, Thousand-island Lake and other scenic spots as well as some world famous universities like Harvard University, Yale University, MIT, the West Point, University of California-Berkeley and Stanford University.
We respectively arranged a four-week Cornell University Study Tour for37 and 27 students in 2012 and 2013.
2. The University of Cambridge Study Tour Program:
The University of Cambridge Study Tour Program is the first three-week summer course program jointly organized by Dean’s Office, the International Office of SWJTU and Lucy Cavendish College of the University of Cambridge. The courses include macro-economics and industry analysis, investment case analysis, real estate investment and risk analysis, business finance, etc. Accompanied by Cambridge students, our undergraduates will visit well-known colleges like the King’s College, the Trinity College, the Saint Jones’ College; experience some distinctive cultural activities, such as the row down the River Cam, the Scotland Ball, the British gate ball, the Shakespeare drama and the British afternoon tea as well as the rich academic and cultural atmosphere of the Cambridge. After the learning in the Cambridge, our students are also arranged to the Buckingham Palace in London, the British Museum, the Westminster Abbey, the Edinburgh Military Tattoo and the Scottish Highlands, and then The University of Oxford, the University of Edinburgh, the University of Glasgow and the University of London, etc.
We organized a three-week University of Cambridge Study Tour Program for25 students in 2013.
